Inclusion Criteria

> age = 18 years
> female sex
> ASA-Score I to III
> specific gynecological surgery under general anesthesia (see section health condition/problem)
> surgery between 01.01.2013 to 31.12.2021

Exclusion Criteria

> ASA-Score IV and V
> heart pacemaker
> known allergy to local anesthetics

Differences in cumulative duration of intra- and postoperative bradycardic episodes[1] (normalized to duration of surgery and time in recovery room/PACU) between patients with vs without intravenous lidocaine administration<br><br>[1] heart rate < 55 beats per minute

Differences between patients with vs. without intravenous lidocaine administration in the intraoperative and postoperative periods (duration of surgery and time in recovery room/PACU) with respect to:<br><br>> the cumulative duration of hypotensive episodes[2] <br>> use of catecholamines (adrenaline, noradrenaline, dopamine)<br>> use of antiarrhythmic medication (including atropine) <br>> analgesic requirements<br>> antiemetic needs<br>> resuscitation<br>> intraoperative death<br>> time from induction to withdrawal of anesthesia<br><br>[2] systolic blood pressure < 100 mmHg and/or mean arterial blodd pressure < 60 mmHg
