Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •ASA grade I or II.
- •Mallampati score of 1\-2\.
- •Patients who gave valid consent.
- •BMI \< 30 kg/ square meter
Exclusion Criteria
- •Patients with anticipated difficult airway.
- •Patients requiring more than two attempts at intubation or nasogastric tube insertion.
- •Surgery lasting more than two hours.
- •Patients with pre operative sore throat or already on steroids (systemic or inhaled).
- •Very anxious patients or those who are unable to communicate.
- •Severe systemic disorder involving any particular system of respiratory or CVS or renal etc or in combination.
- •Patients with Diabetes Mellitus even if they are ASA II.
