Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •ASA grade I or II.
  • •Mallampati score of 1\-2\.
  • •Patients who gave valid consent.
  • •BMI \< 30 kg/ square meter

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Patients with anticipated difficult airway.
  • •Patients requiring more than two attempts at intubation or nasogastric tube insertion.
  • •Surgery lasting more than two hours.
  • •Patients with pre operative sore throat or already on steroids (systemic or inhaled).
  • •Very anxious patients or those who are unable to communicate.
  • •Severe systemic disorder involving any particular system of respiratory or CVS or renal etc or in combination.
  • •Patients with Diabetes Mellitus even if they are ASA II.
