Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients diagnosed with a primary diagnosis of anxiety disorder according to DSM\-V
- •People who consent for the baseline phase
- •Patients who can comprehend and be conversant in English, Tamil or Malayalam
- •Stabilized on medication 4 weeks prior to the beginning of the therapy
Exclusion Criteria
- •Primary diagnosis of schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, patients with suicidal risk, co\-morbid severe depression with or without psychotic symptoms and clinical evidence for intellectual disability, or other neurological, neurosurgical or organic conditions that may interfere with engagement in therapy
- •Current use of psychoactive substance in dependence pattern except nicotine dependence
- •Primary diagnosis of depression with secondary anxiety symptoms
- •Patients who have undergone structured psychotherapeutic intervention of 8 or more sessions will be excluded
