1 Age more than 15 years old
2 Microcytic anemia: Hemoglobin(Hb) less than 13 g/dl in male or Hemoglobin(Hb) less than 12 g/dl in female with MCV less than 80 fL and
- Iron deficiency anemia was diagnosed by iron study; Serum ferritin (SF) <30 ng/mL and Transferrin saturation (TSAT) < 16 % or
- Thalassemia was diagnosed by Hb typing or PCR for alpha thalassemia
3 Iron study such as Serum feritin, Transferrin Saturation or Hbtyping or PCR for alpha thalassemia were investigated
1 Patient was received Erythropoiesis stimulating agent
2 Patient was received iron supplement ( oral or intraveonous form)
