Patients who had elective MVP due to Mitral valve stenosis (>moderate) or mitral valve insufficiency (>moderate) in Konkuk University Medical Center from April 2011 to March 2012
1) Other concurrent valvular surgery
2) Reduced left or right ventricular function (ejection fraction <40%)
3) Mitral valve stenosis grade > moderate or mitral valve insufficiency grade >moderate at post-MVP period
4) Patients who did not be performed 3-dimensional echocardiography during surgery
5) Patients who did not be performed transthoracic echocardiography at postoperative 7th day

Name Time Method Mitral valve area measured by planimetry technique with 3-dimensional echocardiography ;Mitral valve area measured by pressure half-time technique;Mitral valve area measured by pressure half-time with transthoracic echocardiography
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method eft atrium diameter measured by transesophageal echocardiography;Left ventricle diameter measured by transesophageal echocardiography
