Brief Summary

This is randomized control clinical study to evaluate the efficacy of yashtimadhu madhu avapeeda nasya with vacha pippali avapeeda nasya in suryavarta for 7 days in 40 patients in OPD and IPD of PG studies in shalakya tantra of Alvas ayurveda medical college and hospital, Vidyagiri, Moodbidri, DK district, Karnataka.

Assessment will be done based on detailed case proforma adopting standard scoring methods of subjective and objective parameters.

Pre and post assessment will be done , clinical symptoms will be graded and scores will be given accordingly.

Inclusion Criteria

• 1.Patient within the age group of 16 to 60 years who will give their written consent 2.
• pt who will agree to follow protocol of study 3.subjects with symptoms of: a)shirashoola dinavruddha b) lalataruk c)akshiruk d)shankaruk e)spandanavat vedana f)tenderness over sinus area.

Exclusion Criteria

• 1)Subjects with complications of sinusitis.
• 2)Pregnant and lactating women.
• 3)Headaches with involvement of other intracranial pathology.
• 4)Subjects contraindicated for nasya.
• 5)Patients with other systemic illness.

The effect of treatment will be assessed based on detailed case proforma adopting methods of subjective parameters such as site, intensity and nature of pain. And also according to objective criteria like tenderness over sinus area and ESR.
