Inclusion Criteria
Patients aged between 18 and 60 years, of either gender, belonging to ASA physical status Iâ??II undergoing elective neurosurgery requiring general anaesthesia.
Exclusion Criteria
1) Patients with anticipated difficult mask ventilation
2) Patients with anticipated risk for gastric aspiration
3) Patients with anticipated difficult airway
4) Patient with distorted neck or tracheal anatomy
5) Morbidly obese patient
6) Patient with a history of prior tracheostomy
7) Patients with lung collapse, fibrosis, or effusion.
8) Patient with swelling in the neck e.g. thyroid swelling, emphysema
