Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients of either sex aged 18\-60 yr, ASA grade I, II posted for cervical spine fixation(elective) surgery under general anaesthesia (GA)
Exclusion Criteria
- •a. Unwilling and uncooperative patient.
- •b. Patient with severe respiratory, cardiovascular, renal diseases.
- •c. Haemodynamically unstable patient.
- •d. ASA grade III and IV.
- •e. Patients on medication like ACE inhibitor, alpha\- antagonist and long term use of benzodiazepine and tricyclic antidepressant.
- •f. Comatose patient.
- •g. Patient requiring emergency cervical spine surgery.
- •h. Any type of A\-V block, severe bradycardia.
