Inclusion Criteria

All patients with renal calculus with age 18 to 70 years who are undergoing PC

Exclusion Criteria

Patient younger than eighteen years of age.

Presence of active urinary tract infection

Antibiotic use within last month for other causes

Patient with a stent, nephrostomy tube or indwelling catheter

Patient with stricture disease

Patient with benign prostatic hypertrophy (Prostate size > 40 gm )

Patient with Solitary kidney

Uncontrolled Diabetes mellitus

Patient with chronic kidney disease ( GFR < 60 ml/min)

Patient on immunosuppression treatment

Pus aspirated on initial percutaneous puncture

Patients with intraoperative complications during the procedure including bleeding leading to hypotension ,pulmonary complications like pneumothorax or hydrothorax

Patients with post-operative bleeding needing angioembolization

Patients with postoperative pulmonary complications like pneumothorax or hydrothorax.
