- •1. Patients undergoing head and neck surgeries where cough reflex has to be assessed during extubation
- •2. Patients with history of recent respiratory infection
- •3. Patients with history of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma
- •4. Anticipated difficult intubation
- •5. Emergency surgery
