Inclusion Criteria
patients of either sex aged more than 65 years of age belonging to ASA I to III scheduled to undergo surgery for hip fracture
Exclusion Criteria
fractures around implant and pathological fracture.
previous venous thromboembolic diseases.
known coagulation disorder or patients already on anticoagulation therapy.
