Patients must have a diagnosis of migraine, with or without aura, according to International Headache Society criteria
- 4 to <15 migraine days/ per month during the 3 months prior to study entry
- Migraine must have been present for at least 12 months
- A written informed consent form must be signed
- Sufficient knowledge of the German language
- Onset of headache after the age of 50.
- Use of analgesics more than 3 days per month for other chronic pain.
- Pregnancy; lactation
- Patients with pre-existing heart disease
- Patients with relatively severe systemic diseases
- Patients with neurological diseases
- Osteopathic treatments during the last 12 months
- Chronic migraine
- tension-type headache more than 10 days per month
- menstrual migraine with or without aura
- Trigeminal autonomic headache disorders
- Secondary headache disorders
