Association of LA abnormality by ECG and left atrial scar from cardiac MRI
- Conditions
- Patients undergoing cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) between January 2013 to December 2020Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CMRI)Left atrial AbnormalityElectrocardiogram
- Registration Number
- TCTR20231003004
- Lead Sponsor
- Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University
- Brief Summary
The results demonstrated that IAB was found in half of the patients with high prevalence of coronary artery disease and cardiomyopathies, despite the absence of AF history. The strong association of IAB with left atrial fibrosis shown in our study raises the importance of 12-lead ECG screening in the predominantly high cardiovascular risk population.
