- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method a.To evaluate if there is significant difference in renal recovery or time to renal recovery at 30 days & 3 months in patients treated with SLED vs PD among patients who survive.

(renal recovery is defined as either partial or complete: becoming dialysis independent, improvement in GFR by 25% or more)

Timepoint: 30 days & 3 months
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method 1. mortality difference between 2 groups

2. duration of hospitalization

3. metabolic & fluid control in the 2 groups

4. rate of complications

5. TIMP2 and IGFBP7 and renal recoveryTimepoint: 30 days & 3 months
