1.Patient suffering from Chronic Periodontitis as per AAP 1999 classification.
2.Patients having clinically Grade II furcation involvement of mandibular molars diagnosed clinically as per Glickmanâ??s classification.
1.Patients with known systemic disease and conditions known to predispose to periodontal diseases
2.Pregnant & lactating mothers
Patients with deleterious habits like smoking, alcohol consumption , tobacco chewing , beetle nut chewing etc.
Patients with < 20 teeth, partial dentures or fixed prosthetic appliance
Teeth with Grade III mobility as per Millerâ??s classification
Teeth with Grade I, Grade III and Grade IV furcation involvement
Periodontal treatment within previous 12 months
Use of antibiotics within previous 6 months
Use of hormonal contraceptives
Use of Anti-inflammatory drugs within the past 6 months
