Inclusion Criteria

Inclusion criteria of cases:

1. Individuals who are presenting with the chief complaints of Adhmana (Abdominal distention) and associated complaints of Shirashula (Headache), Vibandha (Retention obstruction to passage of stool), Pindikodweshtana (Cramps in the calf muscles ) etc.

2. Patients who will present with the history of Purishavegadharana more or equal to three months.

Inclusion Criteria for the Selection of controls:

1. General OPD patients/volunteer coming to hospital other than Adhmana (Abdominal distention).

Exclusion Criteria

Exclusion Criteria for Cases and Controls :

1. Patients suffering from Aanaaha (Barborygmus

with distention).

2. Patients suffering from chronic major G.I.

tract disorders like Ulcerative colitis,

Dysentery, Diverticulitis, G.E.R.D., Cholera,

Celiac disease.

3. Patients suffering from chronic major illness

like type 2 Diabetes, Hypertension etc.
