A Survey Study on Unveiling the Prevalence of Type of Manas Prakriti among College Students

ABSTRACT:

Ayurveda is an eternal science with absolute principles, and Prakriti is one of these. It plays an important role in the selection and establishment of every factor for which a person is going to interact from conception till death. The word Prakriti has been derived from "Prakarsena Karoti Iti Prakriti" which means manifestation of special characteristics. Human constitution can be broadly classified into two types

(a) Deha or Doshaja Prakriti (b) Manas Prakriti

Deha Prakriti divided into seven types and Manas Prakriti is broadly classified into three types which is further subdivided into subgroups viz; seven of Sattvika, six of Rajasika and three of Tamasika

REVIEW OF LITERATURE:

The study will be done with the help of classical texts of Ayurveda (i.e. Brhat-trayi, Bhagavada Gita etc) as well as from all relevant sources.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

To explore the concept of Prakriti

To explore the concept of Manas Prakriti.

To unveil the prevalence of type of Manas Prakriti among college students.

JUSTIFICATION FOR STUDY:

Understanding one’s Manas Prakriti can provide insights into mental well-being and potential health risks associated with certain types. Knowing students Manas Prakriti types could assist educators in tailoring teaching methods to suit different learning styles, thereby enhancing educational outcomes. Different Manas Prakriti may respond differently to stress. Understanding these differences can lead to more effective stress management strategies for students.

MATERIALAND METHODOLOGY:

The study will be done with the help of classical texts of Ayurveda (i.e. Brhat-trayi, Bhagavad Gita etc) as well as from all relevant sources.
