Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
Describe the Pulsatility index (PI), Resistivity index (RI), MCA - Peak systolic velocity (Psv), End diastolic velocity (Edv), Mean flow velocity (Mfv), ICP and Cerebral Blood flow index (CBFi) as measured by TCD among patients being admitted in ICUTimepoint: Patients shall be assessed

within 24 hours post admission and subsequently every 24 hours till discharge from ICU or death.
Secondary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
a)To determine if TCD parameters -PI, RI, Mfv, Psv, Edv, ICP (PI derived) and CBfi (PI derived would improve the predictive ability of severity of illness score such as APACHE II.

b)To determine whether the pattern and the distribution of these parameters will help differentiate the pathophysiology of encephalopathy in these patients

Timepoint: Patients shall be assessed within 24 hours post admission and subsequently every 24 hours till discharge from ICU or death.
