- •2) first acute severe wheezing episode,
- •3) rhinovirus positive PCR-test in nasopharyngeal aspirate, and
- •4) written informed consent.

- •1) Chronic illness other than atopy,
- •2) previous systemic or inhaled corticosteroid treatment,
- •3) participation to another trial,
- •4) varicella contact if previously intact, or
- •5) need for intensive care unit treatment.
