Inclusion Criteria
ââ?? elective surgery under general anaesthesia
ââ??¡age group 18 to 65 years
ââ??¢ ASA I and 2
ââ??£ patient who gives written and informed consent in vernacular language
Exclusion Criteria
ââ?? patients refusing consent to participate in the study
ââ??¡ patients allergic to propofol and/or fentanyl
ââ??¢ obesity(bmi >30)
ââ??£ anticipated difficult airway
ââ??¤ Respiratory/cerebriovascular/cardiovascular and renal diseases including hypertension
ââ??Â¥ receiving any drug likely to affect requirement of propofol and / or haemodynamic parameters.
ââ??¦history of alcohol or drug use
ââ??§ dehydration
ââ??¨ emergency surgery

Name Time Method Mean total dose of propofol <br/ ><br>Dose of propofol required per kg body weight for induction of general anaesthesiaTimepoint: Propofol is injected Immediately/ after 3minutes/ after 5minutes of fentanyl administration in 3 groups respectively

Name Time Method Mean systolic blood pressure <br/ ><br>Mean diastolic blood pressure <br/ ><br>Mean arterial pressure <br/ ><br>Mean heart rate <br/ ><br>Mean of proportion of cases experiencing hypotension, bradycardia and requirement of fluid boils and/or vasopressors <br/ ><br>Mean of proportion of cases of any movement, bucking and vocalisation during induction. <br/ ><br>Timepoint: These parameters are recorded every minute from baseline till 15 minutes after intubation
