Inclusion Criteria

Subjects following vegetarian diet.

Subjects not taking any Vitamin B12 supplements.

Subjects who are willing to sign written consent form.

Exclusion Criteria

Subjects with age below 20 years and above 50 years.

Known cases of autoimmune diseases.

Known cases of hormonal, hepatic, renal and autoimmune disorders.

Pregnant and Lactating women.    

Chronic alcoholics

 Subjects having chronic systemic diseases like hypertension, diabetes etc.

Subjects who are taking supplements for Vitamin B12 deficiency.

 Subjects on drugs like antibiotics, anti-seizures, antacids, metformin, colchicine, ethanol, histamine 2 receptor antagonists (H2RA).

Subjects on non- vegetarian diet.
