Inclusion Criteria
All participants had two active incipient carious lesions on permanent upper central incisor teeth.
Exclusion Criteria
They had no history of systemic disease, congenital, physical or mental disability and never used any medications which altered salivary flow/composition. All participants brush their teeth with fluoride toothpaste twice a day. They have not received any topical fluoride therapy in the last six months.
