Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •All patients above 18 years of age within chosen time\-period admitted for elective surgeries under general anaesthesia. ASA class 1, 2 and 3\.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Patients who refuse consent
  • •Patients undergoing surgeries of the head and neck, nose and throat.
  • •Patients complaining of sore throat, cough or hoarseness of voice prior to surgery.
  • •Patients with history of recent upper respiratory tract infection less than two weeks
  • •Pregnant women
