Inclusion Criteria

  • 1. LBP of any duration, who have sought care for their LBP within past 8 weeks from primary care (primary care defined as general practice, physical therapy, chiropractic serving or specialized outpatient hospital facility).
  • 2. Mild to moderate disability due to LBP
  • 3. Own and regularly use a smartphone with internet access
  • 4. Low back pain for at least three months, a minimum pain score of three points on a 0 to 10 Visual Analogue Scale, and using a smartphone with an Android OS (since the application was programmed for android devices only).

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1. Unable to speak, read or understand the national language
  • 2. Cognitive impairments or learning disabilities limiting participation
  • 3. Serious mental illness
  • 4. Physical illnesses or conditions limiting participation
  • 5. Pregnancy
  • 6. Previous back surgery
