Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
Change in local and systemic inflammatory markers (differential blood count, C-reactive protein, concentration of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines including IL-6, IL-1ß, CXCL-8, CXCL-10) in sputum and serum in patients with and without chronic PA infection.
Secondary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
- Number of positive viral detections in patients with and without chronic PA infection.
- Number of exacerbations in patients with and without chronic PA infection during the observation period (prospective) and in the past 12 months before inclusion.
- Pulmonary Functional Progression (FEV-1).
- Transcriptome/gene expression analyses (Paxgene).
