Study Overview
Brief Summary
Incidence of breast cancer is rising in India. From long clinical experience, it appears that the ’so-called’risk factors of breast cancer e.g. Nulliparity, Early menarche,Late menopause, etc as reported in various studies conducted among among women of Western countries are not applicable to women of our country. Some other factors may prevail. Aim of this study is to find out the relevance of the reported risk factors and to identify any other risk factor, if present.From preliminary analysis it seems that classical risk factors for breast cancer as described in the western literature are not applicable in the Indian population of breast cancer patients.

Inclusion Criteria
- •Study population: Existence of risk factors were assessed in women suffering from breast cancer irrespective of age, socio-economic status or stage of the disease.
- •Control population:Same risk factors were assessed in age matched women not suffering from breast cancer.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Non consenting women, Psychologically challenge women.
