Inclusion Criteria
Pre-menopausal women with iron deficiency anemia, aged between 18 and 35 years
Exclusion Criteria
Participants treated with oral or parenteral iron supplementation within the last 3 months
Smokers
Pregnant or breastfeeding women
Participants with infections
Participants with inflammations (C-reactive protein concentration > 5 mg/L)
Participants with hemorrhage or any other comorbidity
