Inclusion Criteria
Patients performing one spinal level OLIF surgery.
age 20 to 75 years old
American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status of 1–3
Exclusion Criteria
Previous spinal surgery
Bleeding tendency or anticoagulation
Allergic reaction to the contrast agent
Allergic reaction to the local anesthetic agent
Chronic usage of narcotic painkillers
Functional conditions that are unable to walk due to paralysis of the lower extremities
Impossible to assess pain due to communication difficulties
If the patient refuses or does not agree to participate
Severe liver disease, kidney disease, arrhythmia patients (risks for using ropivacaine)
