Women aged 18 to 45 years living in Mashhad
BMI equal to 25-40 Kg/m2
having regular menstrual cycles
able to do moderate exercise
willing to make lifestyle changes to maintain weight loss
Use of medications to control blood sugar or lipids
pregnancy or planning to become pregnant in the next 6 months
breastfeeding
cancer or chemotherapy/radiotherapy
participation in a competitive sport
abnormal thyroid hormone concentration
using psychiatric medication
psychiatric disorders
Medications that can affect body weight and/or energy expenditure
depression
smoking
cardiovascular disease
liver disease
kidney disease
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
respiratory disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
