Essential Hypertension patients reporting for follow up, who were on standard anti-hypertensive medication as per JNC 8 guidelines, whose 24-hour urine Magnesium levels were lower than the normal.
Patients on Diuretics, Proton pump inhibitors or any other medication altering magnesium metabolism.
Patients with Chronic Kidney disease,
Critically ill and morbidly obese patients.
Patients whose Blood Pressure levels were greater than 160/100 mm of Hg.
Patients who were advised a change in their anti-hypertensive treatment.
