Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • The study centers will be selected according to predefined criteria (urban/rural settlement structure, university affiliation of the institution, deprivation index of the region, regional population share aged \>65 years). Additional centers will be recruited during the course of the study.
  • The observed group consists of adult patients who will receive specialized palliative care in one of the following settings: palliative care unit, palliative care advisory team, specialized home palliative care. Consecutively, all patients treated in participating study centers during the period of data collection will be included.

Exclusion Criteria

  • There will be no exclusion criteria, as all patients who are cared for in participating centers during the survey period are included.
