简要总结
Short-term multi-plane kinetic chain training has been shown to be effective in improving outcomes in individuals with Knee Osteoarthritis. This type of training involves performing functional, weight-bearing exercises across multiple planes of movement—sagittal, frontal, and transverse—such as squats, lunges, and step-ups, which closely mimic daily activities. Over a short duration, typically 4 weeks, this approach significantly enhances quadriceps muscle strength, improves functional performance as measured by tests like the Timed Up and Go (TUG), and reduces pain levels assessed using the Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS). The improvements are attributed to better neuromuscular coordination, joint stability, and activation of multiple muscle groups. Overall, multi-plane kinetic chain training is considered a practical and effective rehabilitation strategy for improving mobility, strength, and quality of life in patients with knee osteoarthritis.
