Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. Subjects clinically diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis.
- •2\. Knee osteoarthritis subjects with myofascial trigger points in hamstring, quadriceps, iliotibial and/or gastronemius muscles
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Recent fractures of femur (less than 1 year)
- •2\. Febrile states
- •3\. Systemic or localized infections
- •4\. Surgical incisions and open wounds
- •5\. Skin hypersensitivity
- •6\. Advanced diabetes or sensory deficit over thigh
- •7\. Intraarticular corticosteroids injection in the last 6 months, pain medications in preceding 6 hours
- •8\. Bleeding disorders
- •9\. Other musculoskeletal disorders, that is, low back ache, osteoarthritis hip, osteoarthritis ankle, plantar fasciitis.
- •10\. Knee osteoarthritis patients with no current complaints of pain.
