Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Subjects clinically diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis.
  • •2\. Knee osteoarthritis subjects with myofascial trigger points in hamstring, quadriceps, iliotibial and/or gastronemius muscles

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Recent fractures of femur (less than 1 year)
  • •2\. Febrile states
  • •3\. Systemic or localized infections
  • •4\. Surgical incisions and open wounds
  • •5\. Skin hypersensitivity
  • •6\. Advanced diabetes or sensory deficit over thigh
  • •7\. Intraarticular corticosteroids injection in the last 6 months, pain medications in preceding 6 hours
  • •8\. Bleeding disorders
  • •9\. Other musculoskeletal disorders, that is, low back ache, osteoarthritis hip, osteoarthritis ankle, plantar fasciitis.
  • •10\. Knee osteoarthritis patients with no current complaints of pain.
