简要总结

**Aim of study:**To determine the correlation between spiral line and ankle stability among young-collegiate students.

OBJECTIVES:

  • To determine the spiral line muscles strength using the push-pull dynamometer among

young collegiate students.

•       To determine the ankle stability by Foot and ankle disability index and Cumberland ankle

instability tool among young collegiate students.

•       INCLUSION CRITERIA:

1.     All genders of students between 18-26 years of age

2.     Constituent units of Health Science Universities in Belagavi city

3.     Participants willing to participate in the study

4.     Participants present on the day of assessment

•  â€¢       EXCLUSION CRITERIA:

1.     Participants giving History of trauma, injury, or surgery in the past at the spine, hip, knees and ankle (for the past 6 Months)

2.     Participants with any structural deformities in the foot.

3.     Participants diagnosed of any Neurological conditions.

  1. BMI above 25-29.9kg/m2

•       Participants will be assessed for all the muscles of the spiral chain based on Pushpull Hand Held Dynamometer

•       A self reported questionnaire of Cumberland ankle instability tool and Foot and ankle disability index will be given to the participants for assessing of their ankle stability.

Expanding research to include the Spiral Line and its relation to ankle stability may explore potential rehabilitation strategies that address global body mechanics, and might offer a more comprehensive approach to treating chronic ankle instability.

结局指标

主要结局

The Foot and Ankle Disability Index (FADI)

时间窗: A Self-reported questionnaire used to assess functional limitations related to foot and ankle conditions. | The FADI has 26 items. Each item is scored from 0 (unable to do) to 4 (no difficulty at all). The 4 pain items of the FADI are scored 0 (unbearable) to 4 (none). The FADI has a total point value of 104 points

次要结局

  • The Cumberland Ankle Instability Tool (CAIT(A Validated questionnaire designed to assess ankle instability, particularly in individuals who have experienced recurrent ankle sprains or other types of ankle instability. The CAIT is a 9-item questionnaire that assesses pain, ankle instability, and recovery after sprains for both ankles.)
