Inclusion Criteria
Patients who could receive both: a laryngeal mask or an endotracheal intubation
- Age: 18 - 80 years
- ASA I - III
- elective surgery with a duration of at least 30 minutes
- General anesthesia and inpatient stay
Exclusion Criteria
- operations on the head or neck
- predictably difficult intubation
- pre-existing damage to the vocal cords

Name Time Method Stroboscopy and dental/oral examination pre- and postoperatively.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Voice questionnaire preoperatively and on the 7th postoperative day.
