•1. The patients to have met the DSM-V diagnostic criteria for MDD (will be assessed by the
•referring clinician).
•2. In this study only mild to moderate cases of depression will be taken
•3. Age range from 20-50 years
•4. Patients of both sex (male & female) will be included

•? Patients with symptoms or having the history of following clinical condition will be
•1. Depression with comorbid serious somatic illness, e.g., myocardial infarction,
•multiple sclerosis, cerebral stroke, hypothyroidism and cancer etc.
•2. Drug or alcohol dependence related depression.
•3. Pregnancy related depression, postpartum depression, postnatal depression etc.
•4. Depression with psychotic symptoms e.g. delusion or hallucinations,
•incoherence, marked loosening of associations etc.
•5. Patients with history of diabetes and severe hypertension
