Inclusion Criteria
Patient undergoing LSCS
Age 18-40 years
ASA II patients
Weight 50-80 kgs
Height 155 cm-170cm
Singleton pregnancy
Exclusion Criteria
Patients refusing spinal anaesthesia
Infection at the site of regional blockade
Bleeding diathesis
Hypersensitivity to the study drug
Allergy to local anaesthetics
Neurological diseases
Spinal deformities

Name Time Method To assess and compare the duration of sensory block between hyperbaric ropivacaine when compared to hyperbaric bupivacaine. <br/ ><br>Timepoint: Starting at 1 hour after subarachnoid block: 0 min, 15 mins, 30mins, 45 mins, 60 mins, 75 mins, 90mins, 105min, 120mins, 135 min, 150min.

Name Time Method To assess the quality of the block. <br/ ><br>Timepoint: Postoperatively at 0 hour;To assess the complications. <br/ ><br>Timepoint: Intraoperatively and postoperatively at 0hours, 2 hours, 4hours, 6hours, 8hours.;To assess the onset of anesthesia. <br/ ><br>Timepoint: Baseline after subarachnoid block, 1min, 1.5min, 2 min, 2.5 min, 3min, 3.5min, 4min, 4.5 min, 5min, 5.5min, 6min, 6.5 min, 7min, 7.5min, 8min, 8.5min, 9 min, 9.5min, 10min.;To compare the APGAR score. <br/ ><br>Timepoint: After baby delivery at 0 min, 1 min, 5 min;To compare the duration of motor blockTimepoint: starting at 1.5 hour after subarachnoid block: 0 min, 15 mins, 30mins, 45 mins, 60 mins, 75 mins, 90mins, 105min, 120mins, 135 min, 150min.;To compare the hemodynamic profile (Heart rate and blood pressure) between the two drugs. <br/ ><br>Timepoint: baseline, pre-spinal, post-spinal, 5 min, 15min, 30min, 60min, 120min, Post anesthesia care unit
