Exclusion Criteria

1) 75 years of age or older 2) an insulin-dependent status 3) severe renal dysfunction(estimated glomerular filtration rate <30 mL/min/1.73 m2) 4) women who were pregnant, possibly pregnant, or planned to become pregnant and breast-feeding women 5) patients who were considered to be ineligible for the study by their attending doctor for other reasons
