Inclusion Criteria
All women more than 18 years of age admitted in JIPMER OBG Department during pregnancy or within 6 weeks following delivery or miscarriage with clinical signs and symptoms of infection with sepsis or septic shock
Exclusion Criteria
1.Acute viral illness
2.HIV infection
3.Hematological malignancies
4.Acute/ Chronic Hepatitis
5.Syphilis
6.Tuberculosis
7.Lower urinary tract infection
8.Iatrogenic hyperthermia due to prosta-glandins/ Epidural
9.Known cardio-respiratory illness
10.Hypovolemic shock
