Inclusion Criteria
Have 18 years or more and have indication of use of indwelling urinary catheterization.
Exclusion Criteria
Positive urine culture at the first sample, patients using antibiotics, patients with chronical kidney failure, patients with neurogenic bladder and patients which the second urine sample could not be collected.

Name Time Method The primary outcome of this study was the occurrence of bacteriuria evaluated by uroculture.Presentation data in percentage.<br><br>Bacteriuria was defined as the presence of microorganisms in the urine, in any quantity, in colony-forming units for each milliliter of urine - CFU / ml.<br>
