18 years of age or older
Asymptomatic hyperuricemia, defined as serum urate level more or equal to 7 mg/dL in male and 6 mg/dL in female, without history of arthritis, tophus, or diagnosed of gout
eGFR less than 30 ml/min/1.73m2
AST and/or ALT more or equal to 3 times above upper normal limits
15% or more change in serum urate prior to entering the study
Pregnant or breast-feeding women
History of cur cumin allergy, real or ureteric stone, biliary tract obstruction and hematologic malignancy, planned for chemotherapy
