Inclusion Criteria
The participants were adults over the age of 19 years who met the research diagnostic criteria for chronic insomnia according to the International Classification of Sleep Disorders – 3, and who were diagnosed after face-to-face interviews and structured questionnaires with a neurologist (JWS) in the outpatient sleep clinic at their first visit.
Exclusion Criteria
-cognitive decline(Mimi-Mental State Exam, MMSE < 24)
- uncontrolled psychiatric conditions requiring immediate treatment outside of the study, including a current major depressive episode within 4 weeks
