Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Health file in the health center
  • At least 1 year has passed since the diagnosis
  • severe complications of type 2 diabetes (kidney disease, retinal damage and blindness, diabetic foot problems and amputation)
  • Literacy for reading and writing
  • Limited health literacy
  • Failure to participate in diabetes education classes
  • Being treated with various diabetes medications
  • Willingness to participate in the study

Exclusion Criteria

  • Unwillingness to continue participating in the study
  • Failure to participate in training sessions for more than one session
  • Having severe complications of diabetes (kidney disease, retinal damage and blindness, diabetic foot problems and amputation) during the study.
