Study Overview

Brief Summary

Chronic Non specific neck pain is a common musculoskeletal condition affecting 30-50 percent of adults annually, often leading to reduced quality of life and long term disability. It is especially prevalent among young adults due to poor posture, prolonged screen use, and sedentary habits. Traditional Physiotherapy approaches often lack personalization and engagement, leading to low adherence. To address this, task oriented cervical exercises have been developed, focusing on functional, purposeful movements that enhance neuromuscular control and pro mote active patient Participation.

This mixed method observational study aims to explore how patient experience task specific cervical exercise influences adherence and pain reduction in individuals with CNSNP. The study include 50 participants aged 18 to 27, Referred by physicians they will undergo a 4 week structured exercise protocol including isometric, isotonic, strengthening and proprioceptive exercises. Patient experience will be assessed using a modified Press Ganey Questionnaire, and adherence through Exercise Adherence Rating Scale, and Pain through Numerical Pain Rating Scale.

Data will be Statistically analyzed to examine the relationship between variables such as experience, adherence and pain outcomes. The research will help identify psychological and contextual factors influencing exercise commitment, aiming to tailor intervention that foster long term engagement. The study addresses a gap in the literature by focusing on patient centered outcomes in Neck pain rehabilitation.

The findings are expected to guide physiotherapist in designing effecting, engaging and personalized rehabilitation programs that improve adherence and clinical outcomes  in young adults with chronic neck pain.
