•?Adult patients = 18 years old at the time of hospital admission, and
•? Adult patients that have gone under major elective surgery (hip arthropathy; knee arthropathy; major abdominal surgeries as colorectal or gastrointestinal cancer surgeries, and ovarian/uterine cancer surgeries; and cardiac valves), and
•? Patients that have gone under major elective surgery during the corresponding time period depending on the cohort (pre- or post-PBM program implementation). Time periods are defined at site level depending on date of PBM program implementation.

•Patients meeting ANY of the following criteria will not be eligible for participation:
•- Patients <18 years old, or
•- Patients with other pathologies that based on clinical criteria can impact on the implementation of PBM program and expected outcomes.
