入选标准
- •- age over 18 years old
- •- admit in ICU with acute respiratory failure require mechanical ventilator
- •- GCS > 10
- •- can receive enteral feeding
排除标准
- •- Have delirium at the time of enrolment
- •- prior treatment of sleep disturbance and delirium or use continuous intravenous sedative for deep sedative effects or muscle paralysis drugs
- •- pregnant and breast feeding
- •- history of neurological disease, convulsion, psychiatric
- •- conditions likely to affect the enteral absorption such as intestinal obstruction, ileus, gastroparesis
- •- expect length of stag < 48 hr
- •- known allergic to melatonin
- •- re-admitted to ICU after randomized to study
