Inclusion Criteria
1.Males and females in the age group 20-65 years.
2.They should be medical patients.
3.They should be clinically stable i.e,absence of myocardial ischaemia and the absence of clinically important hypotension.
4.The patients should have received >24hr of ventilator support.
Exclusion Criteria
1.Age<= 18years >65 years
2.If survival <48 hours
3.Intracranial hypertension, neuromuscular disease,pregnancy
4.Haemodynamically unstable patients,or on high dose vasopressor or inotropes.

Name Time Method The aim of this study is to compare two indices,the Tobin Index (TI) and Integrative Weaning Index(IWI) to identify the better predictor of weaning success or failureTimepoint: The outcome will be assessed once the number of study participants as per sample size will be recruited ,in the month of July 2020

Name Time Method To determine the effect of including a weaning predictor on the duration (days) of ICU stay ,and to ass the accurate timing of weaning to avoid premature weaning.Timepoint: The outcome will be assessed once the number of study participants as per sample size will be recruited, in the month of July 2020
