Inclusion Criteria
Patient undergoing elective surgery under general anaesthesia.
ASA Class I and Class II.
Age group between 20-50 years
Patients of either sex
Patients who give informed written consent.
Exclusion Criteria
Patients with anticipated difficult airway or those in whom laryngoscopy time exceeded 20 seconds.
Patients with H/O hypertension or on any antihypertensive medicine.
Patients with physical dependence on narcotics
history of drug or alcohol abuse.
Known drug allergy to dexmedetomidine.
