Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1) Patients with ASA I,II,III GRADE
  • 2) Patients with schedule of surgery for more than 2 hours

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1. Undergoing surgeries of oral cavity and pharynx with anticipated difficult airway.
  • 2. Use of nasogastric tube and throat packs.
  • 3. History of smoking, history of Bronchial Asthma and COPD.
  • 4. Using corticosteroids before surgery.
  • 5. Intubation attempts more than once.
  • 6. Patient refusal in participation in the study.
  • 7. Hypersensitivity to local anaesthetics.
