Inclusion Criteria
1.Age between 18 to 80 years of age and American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Physical Status Class I, II and III.
2.Patients undergoing exploratory laparotomy by midline incision for colorectal cancer surgery.
3.Patients giving consent for the procedure
Exclusion Criteria
1.Infection at injection site
2.Allergy to local anesthetics
3.Coagulation disorders
4.Severe obesity (BMI > 40)
5.Physical or mental diseases which could interfere with the evaluation of pain scores.
6.Kidney failure
7.Liver failure
